This 2015 Porsche Macan was delivered straight from the dealer with clear instructions from the owner - XPEL Ultimate Self-Healing Film to be applied on lower bumper and rear bumper load area and the rest of the car to have that expensive glow! After we discussed the options, our customer chose the highly durable Gtechniq C1 ceramic base, coupled with Swissvax Crystal Rock. Only the best would do for this special Porsche.
As requested, the Macan was delivered direct from the dealer in covered transport without being valeted. As there was transportation dirt from the original delivery to the dealer, we used Bilt Hamber Korrosol to remove contamination from the wheels and paintwork before giving it a hot foam TFR bath and a good rinse to remove any Korrosol residue. All areas were attended to, including the wheel arches, in order to prep the car for XPEL installation.
Even with it being untouched since the factory, we still felt it necessary to machine the paint to remove any marring marks before applying film or coatings. We used a variety of machines to ensure the best finish is achieved and no areas are left untouched, before giving the car a final alcohol wipe down before applying Gtechniq C1 Crystal Serum.
The wheels were then removed to fully inspect for any damage and coated with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour. Although both wheels and callipers are matte, because C5 is optically clear, there is no change to the factory finish.
Xpel Ultimate Self Healing Film was applied to the lower bumper but the big question is... can you tell? The beautiful interior also received protection from Gtechniq C6 Matte Dash for all plastic and carbon finishes, L1 for the leather and finally I1 for the carpets.
We have carried out many tests with different wax ceramic combinations and, on this occasion Gtechniq and Swissvax have worked very well together and this stunning car is ready to hit the road wearing Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer and Swissvax Crystal Rock.
